A VERY NICE HISTORIC EXAMPLE OF THE RARE WW1 GERMAN MG.08/15 MACHINE GUN. THE GUN HAS TRACES OF AN OFFICIAL ARMY STORE "CG" NUMBER TO THE FRAME FOR CAPTURED GUN. TO THE BARREL JACKET IN WHITE PAINT THERE ARE TRACES OF THE ACTUAL CAPTURE DETAILS. PARTIALLY MISSING, BUT "CAPTURED BY MANCHESTER" STILL VISIBLE.

THE GUN AN EXCELLENT CONDITION, UNTOUCHED, ALL ORIGINAL 08/15 BY THE RARER MAKER, J.P SAUER &SON. OF THE SURVIVING GUNS AROUND TODAY, MANY ARE MISSING THE EXTERNAL PARTS SUCH SA THE MUZZLE BOOSTER, BIPOD, STEAM PORT COVER, ETC, AND MODERN MADE REPLACEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE. ON THIS EXAMPLE, ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT AND ALL ORIGINAL. THE ORIGINAL BIPOD RETAINS MUCH OF ITS ORIGINAL WW1 PAINT FINISH. GUN STILL HAS THE MEGA RARE AND ALL COMPLETE STEAM PORT COVER.
