A name erased NGS , fitted with an official clasp ' Capture Of L'Actif Nov 4 1807'.
A piece likely commissioned by a disgruntled Officer after his claim for this action not accepted. Interestingly the date is incorrect on the clasp - we can find a record of L'Actif being captured by Captain D P Bouverie of HMS Medusa on 4 April 1808. read more
